Childish Gambino - "Sober"
This is the latest music video for "Sober" by Childish Gambino. Even though he just released his first full-length album, "Because The Internet" just seven months ago. Gambino released "Kauai" EP on October 7, 2014 and this song is the single off this new EP.
"Because The Internet" was a huge dissapointment, so maybe that's why he released his new work so soon. Most artists don't release EP's after their debut album. "Kauai" is a great 7 track EP including the fun/ witty rhymes and fast rapping Childish Gambino is known for. He does a lot more singing on this EP and it actually sounds good.... There is a heavy R&B influence on this EP, but still has those catchy choruses and melodies. I like this record MUCH more than "Because The Internet".

New England Patriots Playoffs
However, Tom Brady broke the NFL record for most receiving yards in a playoff game and that trick play where Edleman threw a TD pass for 51 yards will go down in infamy. Brady & Edleman were BOTH awarded the game ball. Next is the AFC Championship game on January 18, 2015 against Andrew Luck and The Colts. I think New England will take down The Colts and Green Bay is going to beat Seattle, so I predict a Patriots vs Packers Super Bowl on Feb. 1st.
"Ant-Man" - Trailer
This is the first trailer for "Ant-Man", the latest Marvel movie and the preview doesn't reveal very much about the film. Yet again, another terrible Marvel Hero brought to the big screen.... Not only is "Ant-Man" one of the lamest super heroes in the Marvel Universe, but this movie looks especially stupid. First of all, Paul Rudd is another bizarre casting choice for the lead and secondly, the power to shrink down to the size of an ant is the worst super power ever. I can't believe Marvel Studios and Fox actually chose this "hero" for their next movie. I think "Ant-Man" is a result of Stan Lee running out of ideas for super powers. They just released "Guardians of The Galaxy" recently and now this lame hero... I don't get it, there are so many other heroes in the Marvel Universe to pick from, but the studio decided to make "Ant-Man? This next "Avengers" movie better be amazing to make up for these latest Marvel films.
Paul Rudd's character finds himself on the wrong side of the tracks as a thief and a con-man, when he gets a second chance in life to use his skill set for good and become "Ant-Man". It releases July 17, 2015 and I have no intention of watching it.

Sir Sly - "You Haunt Me" (Music Video)
Official music video for one of my new favorite bands; Sir Sly and their #1 album single, "You Haunt Me" off their first full-length album, also titled "You Haunt Me". They are undeniably talented and this is an amazing song (especially the chorus). This debut album reminds me so much of MGMT and Foster The People's debut albums (their only good records). They have that same catchy, indie pop/rock sound and all three bands are from Los Angeles, CA. Sir Sly just released their first EP on March 4, 2013 with the debut single, "Ghost".
"You Haunt Me" is their first full-length album, released on September 16, 2014. The video above is one of two hit singles on this album, but there are so many other songs on this album that are just as good. Almost all 11 tracks on the record are single-worthy "Where I'm Going", "Found You Out", "Nowhere/Bloodlines", "Inferno", and "Leave You" (but "You Haunt Me" is my favorite song). The other single, "Gold" is also a great song, it reached #30 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. If you're into bands like Pinback, Foster The People, or MGMT; then you should check out Sir Sly immediately! Good band & great record.

Metric - "Gold Guns Girls" (Music Video)
Metric has been around for a while, but I'm just now taking notice. This song is called "Gold Gun Girls" and it's off the band's 5th full-length album, "Fantasies". The video for this song is pretty cool, but the whole running down streets and picking up & playing instruments has been done in SO many other music videos.
The song "Black Sheep", which was featured on "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" is also on this album. Not to mention, several other good tracks like, "Help, I'm Alive", "Gimme Sympathy", "Twilight Galaxy", "Stadium Love", and "Collect Call"... So pretty much every song on the record is really good and worth listening to. (Especially THIS song!) I thought "Black Sheep" was their best song.... I was way off, this entire album is great! I definitely plan on checking out their other albums since "Fantasies" is such an awesome record.
Metric is a indie pop rock band that sounds kind of like Chvrches mixed with Foxes and Rilo Kiley. I wish I would've heard of them sooner.

"Nightmares!" by Jason Segel
Jason Segel is a successful actor, a musician, and now you can add being an author to the list. This middle-grade novel, "Nightmares" is the first book in a trilogy about a boy named "Charlie" and a group of kids who must face their fears to save their town. "Charlie" can't sleep without having scary, realistic nightmares, but what he doesn’t know is that his problems are about to get a whole lot more real. Nightmares can ruin a good night’s sleep, but when they start slipping out of your dreams and into the real world; it makes for a scary, cartoonish book. This novel was also released in September 2014 and is an Amazon best-seller. Even though I'm older than the age group for this book, I still plan on reading it - I love Jason Segel and I enjoyed his "Dracula" puppet musical in "Forgetting Sara Marshall". I hope that's the same kind of scary fun we can expect from "Nightmares" available NOW!

"Paddle Your Own Canoe" by Nick Offerman
"Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man's Principles for Delicious Living" is a book written by famous actor, Nick Offernan. He is most known for his role as "Ron Swanson" on the hit TV show, "Parks and Recreation", which went on for 6 seasons. His character, also known as "Ron Fucking Swanson", is a fan-favorite - He plays a very tough, manly, bureaucracy-hating, nature-loving, handyman that loves breakfast food and brunettes. He is also the "Director of the Parks Department", even though he doesn't believe in government...
Nick Offerman plays "Ron Swanson" so well because the character is not far from Nick's personality anyway, so it's an easy transition. In real life, he is a manly, nature-loving, carpenter that builds stuff by hand like chairs and canoes. It's hard work and a tedious process, yet this is something he does for fun in his free time. Now he has also written a book and I'm not a 'do-it-yourself' kind of guy, but I would definitely read this book just because Offerman wrote it. He was the prefect casting choice for "Ron Swanson" because for all intents and purposes, he IS "Ron Swanson".
He even married famous actress, Megan Mullally, who also plays on "Parks and Recreation" as "Ron's" psycho ex-wife, "Tammy". Though, in real life they have a much more functional relationship than they do on the show.
"Paddle Your Own Canoe" features tales from Offerman’s childhood, his magnificent seduction of his wife, and also shares his strategies and invaluable advice about manliness, love, styles, religion, assorted meats, and outdoor recreations.
Check out his book on shelves NOW - it was released in September 2014 and is available at any book store or simply online!

"Clarence" - NEW cartoon
This show has a targeted demographic of kids ages 5 - 13 on Cartoon Network, but I'm an adult that genuinely enjoys this cartoon. I found this TV show by accident, and I'm not ashamed to admit I think "Clarence" is funny. The way he talks is hilarious and he's always getting into random situations with his two friends, "Jeff" and "Sumo". "Clarence" is always looking for new adventures and he constantly has a positive attitude. He has an infectious personality, even though he's borderline mentally challenged. This first season was ridiculous and I'm not embarrassed to admit I'm a fan of this kid's show.... it's very entertaining, (It's a kids show with shadess of adult humor mixed in)

"Jurassic World" - Trailer
The "Jurassic Park" movies in the late 90's were super successful and seemed so realistic and scary at the time. Looking back on those movies now, the graphics were terrible and they really weren't that scary after all. So, I'm excited about the re-make called "Jurassic World" which releases June 12, 2015. It seems much more realistic and instead of finding a mosquito trapped in tree sap for centuries with dinosaur blood, scientists create their own species of dinosaur in this movie. Chris Pratt is a bizarre casting choice for this movie (unless it's a comedy). He basically plays Jeff Goldbloom's old character of the dinosaur expert, but I cant take Chris Pratt seriously. Other than that, this looks like an exhilarating and realistic version of "Jurassic Park".

"Nightcrawler" - Review
I didn't really have any expectations for this movie when I watched it, but it had me glued to the screen. "Nightcrawler" is intense and thrilling, it will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's an action movie with touches of horror; there are gruesome images and violent killing scenes along with all the fast action. All of these things are captured on film by Jake Gyllenhaal's character, "Louis Bloom". He films crime scenes and traffic accidents, the more deadly and graphic the footage - the more its worth.
Gyllenhaal's performance in this movie is a big part of what makes it so intense and creepy. In fact, this is some of his best work in my opinion and he has already been nominated for several awards for his portrayal of this eccentric character. "Louis Bloom" is basically a sociopath that is obsessed with capturing crime and death on film. He capitalizes off the death or pain of others by filming everything and selling the footage to news programs. He doesn't seem to have any compassion or empathy whatsoever; he is cold, persistent, and a little bit crazy. He will do anything to get the best footage for top dollar. He even gets his own assistant killed intentionally just so he can exclusively capture it on film.(It was his way of firing him) I really enjoyed this movie - I give it 7 /10.
