The "Dark Knight" Meets The "Avengers"

Even better than "The Dark Knight Meets The Justice League". In this video, you see how lame "Batman" really is when compared to The "Avengers". He decides to stop being so lame and asks to become a member of "The Avengers", they try to let him down easy......LOL. This video is f*ckin awesome!

The "Dark Knight" Meets The "Justice League"

In this part 2 of "The Dark Knight meets Super-Man", "Super-Man" actually leaves for vacation and introduces "Batman" to the "Justice League" to fill in for him while he's gone. He quickly proves to be useless and nothing but a completely mortal man who dresses up like a bat (This is a billion dollar movie franchise we're talking about here!) Standing next to "Wonder Woman, "Flash" and "Green Latern", (who is equally useless without his ring... and his lantern) "Batman" is the least powerful one. He's just a rich guy that can create all these gadgets and weapons. Yet, he is the most popular one and viewed as one of the more powerful members of the "Justice League".... which, as you can see in this video, he clearly is not.

The "Dark Knight" Meets "Super-Man"

This is a college humor video that puts a funny spin on "The Dark Knight" meeting "Super-Man" for the first time. In the cartoons and comic books, DC always makes it seem like "Batman & Super-Man" are equals somehow....but they're not! "Super-Man" is an alien super hero who can shoot lasers from his eyes, fly faster than a speeding bullet, and he's indestructible. While "Batman" is just "Bruce Wayne" dressed up as a bat with a utility belt. He is strong, but "Super-Man" has super human strength, "Batman" can't catch a falling airplane or fly into space. So, he is totally emasculated by "Super-Man" in this clip. "Gordon" even changes the "Bat-signal" spotlight to a "Super-Man" light in the sky. LOL.

NEW Circa Survive Album "Descensus" - Review

Finally, Circa Survive just released their new album, "Descensus" two days ago! This is Circa Survive's 5th full-length album with another abstract album cover art, but the music is not as good as their earlier stuff and I said the same thing when they released their last record in late 2012, called "Violent Waves".

Earlier albums like "Juturna", "On Letting Go", and "Blue Sky Noise" have most of the band's best work on them. It was that very specific sound that couldn't be compared to any other band. Anthony Green screamed in high pitch singing, which made it sound so powerful and raw, especially when accompanied by those soaring melodies and crazy guitar effects.

However, the past 2 records are missing those signature Anthony Green vocal explosions, and they're filled with a lot more slow songs instead. Just as I said over a year ago in my review of "Violent Waves"; I think Anthony Green has trouble performing their older stuff and hitting those high pitch notes LIVE in concert.

So, now they've made 2 albums that are much easier for Anthony to perform live without straining his vocal cords. Still, I wish they weren't changing their sound at all,  although, this new album is not completely terrible... It features a few classic-Circa songs like "Schema", "Child of the Desert", the self-titled track "Descensus". and the song "Always Begin", which I GUARANTEE will be the single on this record.

Other than those 4 tracks, their new album; "Descensus" is slow and boring. Not at all what I've come to expect from Circa Survive. This is by far their worst album - I give it a  4 /10

"Brickleberry" - Season 3 Review

"Brickleberry" just wrapped up its 3rd season after nearly being cancelled after the second season. The show is created & developed by Daniel Tosh from "Tosh.o" He does both shows and also voices one of the "Brickleberry" main characters; "Malloy". He is the offensive, mean-spirited, witty, talking bear cub that never misses a chance to interject with a  sarcastic, mean, or racist joke.

This third season is just like the first two seasons; it's the same outrageous, tongue-in-cheek, animated, comedy series. The show has progressed a little since season one when there was a bigger focus on the characters being park rangers and the park itself. Season three is more about the individual characters and the escapades they each get into - inside and outside of the Ranger Station. The show is known to push all boundaries and it is gross and offensive to pretty much any group or congregation of people... just for shock value. I love it !

In the first photo above, the cast of "Brickleberry" is dressed as the "Avengers": "Woody" is "THOR", "Steve" is "Captain America" (with a "Brickleberry" logo on the shield), "Denzel" is "Nick Fury" (because he is the only black character), "Connie" is "The Hulk" (of course!), "Ethel" is "Black Widow" which also makes sense. "Bobby Possumcods" is "Hawkeye" (with a plunger instead of an arrow) and "Malloy" is "Iron Man"

I love this show - and that's probably because I fit right into the targeted demographic. I was surprised a third season was even made after watching the season 2 finale, but I hope this show continues for a 4th season.

"Avengers vs Ultron" Original Cartoon

With the release of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" scheduled for 2015, I thought it would be cool to share this clip from a cartoon episode of "The Avengers". This is the episode where the "Avengers" fight "Ultron". However, something tells me it won't be this quick & easy in the upcoming movie version.

It does mention in this 4 min.clip, that "Ultron" is made of "adamantium" (strongest metal on earth) and is therefore, indestructible just like "Wolverine". Yet, "Thor" is still able to decapitate "Ultron" with his hammer in this video because "Vision" (who was created by "Ultron") turns good and detaches "Ultron's" head from his body making it possible for him to be defeated. "Vision" is also confirmed to be in the NEW "Avengers" movie and takes over "Jarvis" (Tony Stark's digital assistant program) just like in the comic books! Although, I don't think he will be helping the "Avengers" in this movie version... (even though he actually becomes a member of the "Avengers" later after turning good)

How "Thor: The Dark World" Should Have Ended

This episode of "How It Should Have Ended" (HISHE) is all about "THOR 2: The Dark World". I could barely sit through the actual movie and I thought it was as transparent as Natalie Portman does in this clip. Instead of meeting at the "Super-Café" after the clip, (like usual) "Loki" sits down at the "Villains Pub" with "Joker" and "General Zod". Instead of "Batman & Super-Man" making fun of the movie and the super hero, we see the exact opposite characters, "Joker & General Zod" poking fun at the villain; "Loki".

Until "Maliketh", the main villain in "Thor: The Dark World" shows up and becomes the focus of ridicule. It's pretty funny and we still see "Thor" at the end of the video. Check it Out!

How "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" Should Have Ended

Another installment of "How It Should Have Ended" (HISHE) about the new "Captain America" movie and how it should have ended. Just like all the other "HISHE" videos; "Captain America" sits down at the "Super-Hero Café" with "Black Widow and "Batman & Super-Man" while they poke fun at him and the movie itself. Just like "Tony Stark" in "Iron Man 3"; "Captain America" didn't enlist the aid of the "Avengers" in this post-Avenger movie for some unknown reason..... "Captain Rogers" has to complete this mission alone? He can't call on his badass team of super heroes to help? The video pokes fun at that too.

In this short clip, "Nick Fury" (who really does sound just like Sam Jackson) insists "Captain America" take on "The Winter Soldier" alone, without the help of 'The Avengers" (even though "Hulk" is down to help). I wondered the exact same thing when I watched this movie...  It's ok though, because "Cap" made a new friend in "Falcon" and he has "Black Widow's" assistance, who somehow has some face-changing technology, but waits until the end to use it.

"Thor", "Captain America", and the "Hulk" should have all had their own individual movie trilogies before any "Avengers" movie was ever released. Releasing the "Captain America" and "Thor" trilogies at the same time as the "Avengers" trilogy just makes everything confusing. Not to mention there was NEVER a "Hulk" movie starring Mark Rufalo. Fans just had to accept that Edward Norton wasn't "Hulk" anymore and accept Mark Rufalo as the new "Incredible Hulk"....  It's a super funny clip and one of my favorite "HISHE" episodes so far.

The Black Keys - "Turn Blue" (Album Review)

The Black Keys released their 7th full-length album, (not including any vinyl or mix tapes) "Turn Blue" earlier this year. It's hard to keep up with these guys - every time I get into one of their records; they release a new one! It doesn't seem like that long ago they released, "El Camino" which was certainly not their best work. The whole album has a slow-tempo and depressing blues sound, no cool melodies or catchy choruses like in their previous albums. "Turn Blue" is a BIG improvement compared to "El Camino", but it's not my favorite piece of their work either. The album features some cool songs like the single, "In Time", the self-titled track, "Turn Blue", "Fever", and "Gotta Get Away".

I enjoy listening to this album, with the exception of one or two tracks. All of Black Keys albums have been produced by Danger Mouse, who is essentially the invisible third member of the band, he adds in all the other instruments and back-up vocals / choir. However, I think Danger Mouse put WAY too much synth on this album. It seems like every song has a strong synth sound in the background and it doesn't mesh with the music. The Black Keys are known for that bluesy-rock sound and with a record title like "Turn Blue"; you would think they would bring out more of that blues sound. Instead, the band decided to try something new and different.

Their sound has changed significantly since their earlier stuff; compare "Attack & Release" to this new album. Their sound isn't scratchy or vintage-sounding anymore like The Strokes earlier work. This record sounds much more polished, but they haven't changed completely, there is still that Black Keys trademark sound. I guess after 12 years, your music style changes and evolves naturally. However, they are definitely not meant to be a synth-pop band!

This is a 2-person band, but listening to this record, you hear several instruments played at once. You would think it's a 7 piece band with a choir. Danger Mouse, the producer and unofficial third member of the band, makes sure they have that same sound when performing LIVE. This 2-man Blues/Rock band from Akron, Ohio have come a long way since touring in a mini van and playing small gigs. Now, they are arguably the BEST 2-man band making rock music (F*CK The White Stripes).

Overall, I give this album a 6 /10, because I prefer their old rough, mid-west rock sound.

First Trailer for "The Interview"

In "The Interview", James Franco and Seth Rogen team up again for what is bound to be another hilarious collaboration! These two are so funny on-screen together and they have brought us some of the most hilarious movies; like "Pineapple Express", "This is the End", and "Neighbors". So, I can't wait to see this new movie set to release on Christmas Day. The movie is about trying to assassinate North Korean Dictator, Kim Jong Un. Which is both, controversial and near impossible. Either way, its going to make for another fantastic movie and an instant comedy classic. I will see any film that these two guys are in, I don't even need to know the plot. Rogen + Franco =  a Guaranteed funny movie. "Freaks for Life" !
