"Lucas Bros Moving Co." - NEW TV Show

The "Lucas Bros Moving Co" is a new cartoon that airs on "Adult Swim" late at night and stars real-life twin brothers, Kenneth Lucas & Keith Lucas. In the show, they go by "Kenny and Keef Lucas" and together they own their own moving company, but they get high all the time and rarely do any actual moving... They created and wrote the entire series and they basically just play themselves in their real-life personalities. The Lucas Brothers are well-known comedians that had a big role in the movie, "22 Jump Street" which landed them their own series on Cartoon Network. Every episode is super short and plays in a 15 minute time slot, so they're actually  like 10  min. episodes. It's still a really funny cartoon that's already filming the second season, and definitely worth checking out. I hope this show continues and starts making longer episodes because I'm a big fan. I'm actually moving in a couple days myself, and I hope my movers are nothing like this!

Tove Lo - "Talking Body" (NEW Song)

 This is one of the new songs by Tove Lo from her debut LP, "Queen of the Clouds". This song is rather explicit with chorus lyrics like, "If you love me right - We'll fuck for life"... It's a little strange hearing Tove Lo sing those sexual lyrics... But, it's actually one of the many singles off this new album and undeniably catchy. "Talking Body" is yet another great song by Tove Lo and not to mention, a very cool music video. Even her new stuff is phenomenal - She is incapable of making a bad song. Tove Lo is my favorite artist right now and she will be everybody's favorite soon enough.

Tove Lo - "Over" (Music Video)

Tove Lo finally made a music video for her 5th single, "Over". I posted a live performance of this song back in early November 2014 because there wasn't a music video yet. Well here it is, and it's much better quality and plays the song as it sounds on the record. "Over" is a song about finally ending an unhealthy relationship and the realization that it is truly over and all the special time spent together is gone and just a memory. Love and heartache can be felt physically, trust me. It's an amazing song that stirs up feelings & emotions, and that's exactly what good music is supposed to do.

"Man Seeking Woman" - New TV Show

"Man Seeking Woman"" is the latest original series from "FXX", and it is a very bizarre, off beat kind of show. It stars Jay Baruchel as "Josh", the lonely, 27 year old guy looking for love in a very strange world. His best friend, "Mike" is played by Eric Andre, he is a forgettable actor/ comedian that briefly had a show on Comedy Central in 2012. We all know Jay Baruchel by now from movies like, "She's Out of Your League", "Fan Boys", "Knocked Up" and "This is the End". Together, on-screen they are complete opposites; "Mike" is a very outgoing extrovert that sees nothing wrong / strange with the world they live in. "Josh" is the exact opposite; he is a shy, awkward introvert with low self esteem and zero confidence (perfect role for Jay!).

It's definitely the first of it's kind, but FXX is a bold network that airs bold TV Shows that are made for adults and often cross the line. This first season of "Man Seeking Woman" is still airing new episodes every week, so check it out for yourself!

"The Interview" - Review

I finally got a chance to see "The Interview" from start to finish and I thought it was a genius comedy film, it was controversial and hilarious at the same time. James Franco and Seth Rogen star in the movie and they make such a great on-screen comedic team. Franco and Rogen not only star in this film, but they also created and produced this movie together along with Evan Goldberg under "Point Grey Pictures", Just like in "This is the End", "Neighbors", and "Pineapple Express". It seems like every production these guys put together is guaranteed to be comedy gold, and this movie is no exception! Unfortunately, SONY received threats of terrorist acts at any cinemas that showed "The Interview". SONY delayed the release of the movie for two months and toned down the Kim Jong-Un death scene before releasing it in December 2014. Obviously, North Korea has banned this film from showing in their country, then Japan and China did the same thing. That, coupled with the fact that movie-goers were scared to see this movie in theaters made for poor ticket sales; but it was still a box office hit. A spokesperson of the North Korean government stated that "Releasing a film that portrays an attack on our top-level leadership is the most blatant act of terrorism and war and will not be tolerated."

I think everyone knew this movie was going to piss off North Korea, but they are making WAY too big of a deal over a Fictional  movie. It's just like the film, "Inglorious Basterds" - The United States didn't really burn down a theater full of Nazi soldiers and shoot holes in Hitler's face, but it's entertaining to watch an evil dictator get what he deserves...Shortly after the film was released in late December; SONY Pictures was hacked and emailed threats against the U.S. and North Korea has denied any involvement. Kim John-Un is known for making hasty threats with no follow through. Rogen says he hopes "The Interview" reaches North Korea in bootleg form and he doesn't mind that it's readily available online for download. His hopes are that maybe this satirical movie will open the eyes of the North Korean population and change their image of their supreme leader. Even President Obama commented on this movie and the threats that ensued. Despite the negative attention and controversy this film gained; it's actually very light and  funny and not to be taken so seriously. It's a comedy movie and hilariously brilliant, I give it a 9/ 10 (near perfect)

Passion Pit - "Lifted Up (1985)" NEW ALBUM!

This is the first single off Passion Pit's new record, "Kindred" set to release on April 21, 2015. This will be Passion Pit's third studio album and based off this song, I think this record will be just as good as the first two were.Their second album, "Gossamer" was a huge success (Review of that album posted on this blog). In 2012, "Gossamer" reached number #1 on the "Billboard Top 100 Albums". So, I have high hopes for this new record and I can't wait until it releases in a couple months! This is a great song and the video is a moving version of the new album cover. Kind of a sneak preview of what to expect on this band's third album, and so far I love what I'm hearing - check it out!

Sia - "Elastic Heart" (Music Video)

If You like Tove Lo, than you will surely enjoy this artist, Sia. She has very similar musical sound and genre. But unlike Tove Lo, Sia is an Australian artist that has been around since 2000 when she released her first album with Sony Records. She is very eccentric (especially when performing live) and kind of like a hippie version of Lady Ga-Ga, but with actual talent. This song is off Sia's sixth and most recent album, "100 Forms of Fear". She is a controversial artist and this is a controversial music video for her new single, "Elastic Heart". It stars professional dancer, Maddie Ziegler and oddly, professional actor, Shia LaBeouf.... I almost didn't recognize him, he looks more like Gerard Butler in this video. He buffed up, grew a gnarly beard, and is apparently trying his hand in dancing. In the video, Maddie Ziegler and Shia LaBeouf perform an interpretive dance while locked in a cage together all dirty, and Shia is not half bad at dancing. It's a pretty cool music video and Sia isn't even in it.

Tove Lo - "Queen of the Clouds" - Album Review

Tove Lo is the newest pop sensation from Sweden with a very unique and electronic style of music. She gained international success rapidly and is already on the radio every fifteen minutes after her first EP released in early 2014. "Truth Serum" is an absolute masterpiece and I love EVERY song on that EP. Tove Lo gained so much attention and success that she signed with Island Records and immediately released her first full-length album in late 2014. She recorded ten  new songs and most are pretty good. She also added some of the songs from her EP, but the album is not nearly as good as the "Truth Serum" EP. Plus, I hate the cover art/picture (Top photo). She is much better looking than she appears on the album cover and she is a  phenomenal artist that is only going to gain more mainstream media attention here in the United States. I just hope she doesn't get over-played like Lorde did. Overall, I give this debut album, "Queen of the Clouds" a  7/ 10

Tove Lo - "Habbits (Stay High)"

                                         

I posted this music video back in early August because I fell in love with Tove Lo and this song in particular. I predicted in that posting that Tove Lo was destined to become super popular & famous. Sure enough, I just heard this song on the radio a few days ago, (and i rarely listen to the radio) I knew it! The debut EP, "Truth Serum" was a HUGE success and every song is a potential hit single. In fact, Tove Lo gained so much mainstream attention that this Swedish, Electro-Pop star quickly recorded ten new songs and released a full-length album titled, "Queen of the Clouds" after signing with Island Records.

"Quest Crew" (2015 LIVE)

This is the first "Quest Crew" performance of 2015, performing their new routine, "Lighting in a Bottle". I've long been a fan of "Quest", especially now that "D-Trix" is back in the crew. This is a good quality video of this entertaining & explosive performance by my favorite dance crew, LIVE in Orlando, Florida. It's just the b-boy members performing, so no boring part in the choreography. It's a b-boy ONLY performance, which makes it even better (in my opinion).

Funny "The Walking Dead" Spoof Recap

Yesterday was the return of "The Walking Dead"after the usual mid-reason break. I think they do that to leave the millions of hardcore fans dying in anticipation. After two months, season six finally premiered the new episode for the second half of the season. That's why i like to wait until the season ends, and then just download every episode at once. That way, I don't have to deal with those huge cliffhangers. I can't wait to watch this entire season. This mid-season "recap" is just a silly spoof and it's especially funny if you're familiar with "The Walking Dead".

"Superman" and "Batman" together at the "Super Cafe"

"Superman" and "Batman" sit down together yet again at the "Super Cafe" in another HISHE video clip. I love the relationship between "Batman" & "Superman" that has been established in this series of YouTube videos. They're close friends and they poke fun at each other. In this clip, "Superman" thinks "Mrs. Incredible" is flirting with him. I don't know why it says "Swingers Tribute", it's actually a parody of a "Seinfeld" episode....

"Fantastic Four" - Trailer

This is the first trailer for the NEW "Fantastic Four" movie, and it actually looks like it might be good. Just like the new "Amazing Spiderman" franchise, "Fantastic Four" is being re-made into a brand new movie franchise. The first "Fantastic Four" movie franchise was terrible, cheesy, and made for kids. Everyone hated those movies, it even made "Silver Surfer" look lame. This new "Fantastic Four" movie is supposed to be darker and more comic book accurate, just like the new "Amazing Spiderman" movies were.

It's been confirmed this will be a trilogy and they are already filming the second movie. This first movie covers the origins of the "Fantastic Four" the way it happened in the original Marvel comic book. Four scientists are working on a teleportation experiment when something goes haywire and explodes, mutating the four scientists and giving them powers. It's a brand new director, producers, and a new cast  including a guy named Michael Jordan (the guy who looks like Nick Cannon). He plays "The Human Torch", which is a bizarre casting choice. Almost as bizarre as Jamie Bell (the unknown British guy fom "Jumper") being casted as "Thing", even though he is a small actor and "Thing" is HUGE.... Miles Teller (the guy from "That Awkward Moment" and "21 and Over") is casted to play "Reed Richards" A.K.A "Mr. Fantastic" which is much more believable. Kate Mara (she played small roles in movies such as "127 Hours" and "Iron Man 2") is casted as "Sue Storm" A.K.A "The Invisible Woman", this will be her first starring role in a feature film. With a C-list cast of actors like this, the "Fantastic Four" reboot might be just as terrible as the original franchise. Which would just add to the list of terrible movies that Marvel Studios has released. I'm eager to see if they get it right this time when it's released on August 7, 2015.

"Ted 2" - Trailer

This is the short trailer for "Ted 2" set to release June 26, 2015. It's even bettter than the full-length trailer, because Tom Brady makes an appearance in the sequel and this preview shows some of that. I loved all the Tom Brady references in the first movie and I also loved that this trailer aired during the Superbowl before The Patriots won. Mark Wahlberg and Tom Brady are good friends and Wahlberg is a huge Patriots fan. He was seen at the game and then congratulating Brady after his victory.

Other than that, this movie looks stupid and ridiculous. It's about a magic, talking teddy bear that wants to get married and have kids with his trashy wife, but he needs a sperm donor.....because he's a teddy bear. It was kind of cute and funny the first time, but there is no reason to make a sequel...

The Patriots - Superbowl Champions!!!!

Just as I predicted and hoped for, The New England Patriots beat the cocky, Seattle Seahawks (28 - 24) to become Superbowl 49 Champions! This victory solidified The Patriots as a NFL Dynasty. This also puts Tom Brady in the conversation of the best Quarterbacks to EVER play. Brady and Bill Bellichick are the most winningest QB - Head Coach combo in the league. They have gone to 6 Superbowls together and won 4 of those championship games. This ties the record with Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw. Tom Brady was awarded Superbowl MVP in 3 of those victories, including this one. Superbowl MVP wins a brand new, red GMC truck, but Brady gave this truck to Malcolm Butler for basically winning the game for them. Butler pulled off a miracle interception in the final seconds of the game in a play that will go down in infamy. He stopped the Seahawks from winning due to a terrible offensive call by Coach, Pete Carrel that has already been replayed over and over and disected from every angle. The Seahawks beat Peyton Manning and The Broncos in last year's Superbowl, and had a chance to play abother tough team and take down another top tier Quarterback for back-to-back Superbowl Wins. The Patriots crushed those dreams AND The Legion of Doom, while the Seahawks show what sore losers they are by starting that fight at the very end of the game. What a bunch of classless crybabies! Brady said he is "still in the middle of his career", so he is far from finished. I would look to see Tom Brady & The Patriots appear in more Superbowls to come!
